That's because of Dynamic Shading. It looks like optifine's shading as a result of how it changes lighting itself. Disabling it and re-logging should make everything look normal.

This may be a problem with FPS Reducer, because the "non-legacy" engine technically does _less_ than legacy. Not sure what's causing the error here.

Not really, it does if it detects a mod that can cause a crash, but I never really put it into the config.
