eol characters render as boxes

Since the repository moved this weekend and the extension was updated in the market place, there has been an issue showing the arrow character decoration as a box (unrenderable character)....

Status bar text doesn't update if file is edited until it is saved

During editing, if the scope range increases by a few lines and the file is not saved then what is displayed in the status bar won't reflect the edited state...
