@ethan256 I could not reproduce this in k8s 1.21. There is [a flag](https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-helm-charts/blob/main/charts/opentelemetry-operator/values.yaml#L94) to disable the proxy and side-load it afterwards if you really need it
