had the same issue and used the esp01s binary from: https://github.com/CytronTechnologies/esp-at-binaries on my esp01. UART is working > yes AT 1 has both commands. and AT 1 is very stable...
I thought this would be a better option than a static IP cuz: 1. I'm connected to someone else's shared router/network(with permission) and that would be an awkward conversation 😅...
