Try this command line "--fullscreen". I have the same issue on here. it solved for me.

something that could be added would be the possibility of, when choosing the MAME core, opening a new option to define which system we want to emulate using the mame....

But these new systems don't have to be on the menu in RetroArch, as it would really be gigantic and messy. We would see this possibility of configuration when entering...
