upgraded to 2.1.3 and this is fixed: it shows `file name (primitive type)` (e.g. `user_email (string)`).

Finally succeeded creating, starting and adb-connecting to a docker-hosted emulator. 🎉 Still can pair-program if anyone is interested (especially the UI tests orchestration part).
