I'm having the same issue... as a temp solution is that i made the component to be displayed above the absolute image with opacity animation with some delay

so far nothing.. but i think this one isn't meant to display components using position absolute

I believe this package only detects connected devices but not events when pressed on a headphone. The event listener will fire only whenever you connect with a wired/bluetooth headphone

You have might to look into [react-native-incall-manager](https://github.com/zxcpoiu/react-native-incall-manager) to get events when headphone buttons media is pressed but I believe it only supports android devices
