Sync branch while leaving uncommited files

You can only sync branches if you have no uncommitted files(that are not ignored and have been changed). Request for change: syncing without committing all changed files.

ignore .DS_Store

By selecting Ignore on a .DS_Store file, it gets added into Settings -> Ignored files(.gitignore) but isn't removed from changes.
