Oh that's true! Regardless of whether the account has a message history it should throw _something_ that confirms the credentials work, more info here https://www.twilio.com/docs/sms/tutorials/how-to-retrieve-and-modify-message-history-ruby
Got this somewhat working with edits to the second gem. Could take pointers from the first gem and integrate a mini Twilio-SMS-specific adaptation that fits CASA's codebase like you've suggested....
