I'm experiencing exactly the same issue - I have Node v7.1.0 and chokidar 1.6.1 on MacOS Sierra. It looks like Chokidar already has known issues with Node 7 (see #550).

Ah, okay. That does sound reasonable, and certainly `pack/X/start/X` wouldn't be a very useful way to namespace your plugins. However, perhaps it should be possible to adjust the package name...
