It's on Orbot, there is already a commit in Orbot repo which should fix this https://github.com/guardianproject/orbot/commit/729bffd2529c4349a99c443d3066600855e99ea0 (19 days ago). As far as I see it's not in any release yet.

I don't expect it to be especially error prone. Doing it piece by piece and improving some tests should be quite safe.
