@junwang-noaa okay. I did not know it. I think post is used by default now with `control_p8`. I have just synced my branch with the develop and had this issue....

@junwang-noaa along with this PR, CDEPS needs to be updated to the recent version since it includes fix for issue under GNU. Without this the data component configuration is failing....

@junwang-noaa yes, we could merge CMEPS PRs. Mine goes to ESCOMP and I already tested for CESM and ready to merge.
