暫定対応として 以下のようなvivliostyle.config.jsを置き、vivliostyle.config.jsonを読み込ませることは可能です。 ```js module.exports = require('./vivliostyle.config.json'); ``` ただ、[cosmiconfig](https://github.com/davidtheclark/cosmiconfig) などでJSONファイルに対応することも良いアイディアだと思います。

`entryContextDir` は、原稿ファイルのディレクトリとスタイルシートなどそれ以外のファイルを分離するためのもので、例えば原稿だけGitの管理外にするなどの目的で使うものと認識していました。entryとthemeを同じ階層で使いたい場合は、`entryContextDir`を設定せずその位置に `vivliostyle.config.js` を移動させれば問題ないのではないでしょうか？ 目的について勘違いをしていたらすみません。スタイルシートとコンテンツから同じファイルにアクセスしたく、なおかつ `entryContextDir` を設定したいユースケースについて教えてもらえると助かります。

詳しい実装は見ていませんが、こちらの問題はrubyのパースルールの優先度を高めれば解決できるように見えます。 tableのパースより先にrubyのパースが実行されれば、誤って `|` のパースがされることはないと思うのですが、どうでしょうか？
