DOSBox Pure does software emulation of Voodoo 3dfx, always with 4 threads. This probably should be changed to have the code figure out how many cores the host CPU has...

It works on Android, but I think on iOS it's different. I don't have an iOS device but I was told there is a little arrow icon at the top...

If RetroArch has a deadzone setting, does the core still need one?

The dead zone setting getting applied to movement for the cursor of the on-screen keyboard. This has not changed in 0.9.8.
