This is likely not going to change since it would change the API. A different approach is use a `bind` like API like [this](https://github.com/luvit/luvit/blob/e7811b1167359b1d312bb116ff6b2aa27c31a9fd/deps/utils.lua#L38). ie: ``` bind(kls.someFunc, instance, client) ```
