This is still the case today... super frustrating. Having the same problem on a new mac, fresh installation of Atom and up to date `language-babel` package.

I am also looking everywhere to understand how to configure stylelint with styled-components. :/ @mattdarveniza did you manage to figure something out and are willing to share?

Have you considered http://platformio.org? Seems to be a more complete solution for what you are trying to achieve.
