Just to check my understanding - I feel like #1086 would supersede this. Is that correct? Or, was the idea that we'd merge this first, and then #1086?

FYI - just released `rc4`! I know the new minimal layout is not a drop-in replacement for your current one, but hopefully at least you now don't need to copy...

~~Just did the suggested change of commenting out `check-site-html.sh` (and fixed a mistake I made), and the check passes in much more reasonable time. Agree that it might be good...
