Is there some data in bug.log file (in install folder)? What version have you, 32bits or 64 bits? What Linux distibution?

Sorry, I have no idea. (With the binary distribution in a Cinnamon-64 bits, I have no problem) With the binary distribution, first remove bug.log, then you could try renaming UsrData...
