I think that models / view make sense in max, bt not really in e.g. java, python or whatever so not sure about that one.

huh, I think that putting them not in the ossia::net:: namespace was a mistake sorry ! Don't think it would break a lot of code to fix that :p

it's not a nightmare but it adds a dependency to Qt and a JS interpreter to ossia-pd, ossia-max, etc... which may be disliked by some people (and increase the size...

and conversely from max -> pd :p
