Any progress on this so far or any workarounds that one can take? Is aws amplify simply behind at this point and would it be better to move platform?

A temporary fix could be to disabled strict mode - `reactStrictMode: false`. I also found it useful to change the height unit to `vh` if the map didn't display properly...
