Yeah race condition is possible. The exception itself is vague because it may be thrown when a file *or* directory already exists.

With the new calculation layer, it should be fairly straight forward to make the magnitude visible once #231 is addressed.

Action items: - [ ] Normalize `datasetconfig.json`. - [ ] Update `datasetconfig.py` to account for the normalization. - [ ] Update `tests/test_datasetconfig.py`.

We should investigate to see if the calculation layer will take care of this automatically.

Depth dropdown is not shown.

It's a front-end thing. Basically we're just hiding the Depth dropdown, and not resetting the depth to 0. Really we need to do both.
