Another solution is to remove the image from the screen as soon as one of the arrows are pressed. So a black screen is visible while the image loads.
Same issue persist, no matter the values set.
It does the same, erroneous behaviour :(.
I've checked the code. Since the only thing you can control is whether the event goes through or not and how many times, it would be much easier and straightforward...
