I'm having the same issue, Go 1.9 on OS X. I had to do `brew install [email protected]` and remove other versions to get my tests working again.

I'm also more than happy to kick in. It's a great Gem and it does a lot but it needs a chunk of new PRs taken in to fix existing...

It would be extremely great to have this btw
