Zed always using lightest variation of font

i had a similar problem using the variant version of JetBrains Mono. My workaround was to install each different style (regular, medium, bold, etc...) separately.

[Accessibility] Low contrast / readability of matches, highlights, and selected text.

Any updates on this issue?. Im working on porting the Neovim Slate Theme to Zed beacause I really love that colorshceme. My problem is the highlights don't work as well...
