I actually opened https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-java-instrumentation/issues/12979 as well. That issue was with `OpenTelemetryAppender.install` not installing the sdk on appenders only referenced through an async appender. That fix worked (much appreciated!) but that...
