What is this "double strike" mode exactly? Is it something like the "240p" 15 kHz signal from the older consoles? Which technically still is an 480 lines interlaced mode but...

I just tested the PS2 version of the game and it doesn't have the massive dead zone. It actually feels pretty nice and responsive with a wheel. I don't know...

I actually use a steering wheel. So no xinput. But it happens with any controller I tried. The saturation values of the axis aren't read if you start the game....

But how can you be sure that it's really a false positive?

It's even worse in my case. I want to switch to 720x576@50 Hz and your tool switches to 1920x1080@120 Hz instead. That's not even close ;) I think it has...
