For what its worth I actually like JSON the best. It has high quality and consistent parsers for every language, supports lists natively, isn't large and complex like YAML, etc.

Format aside if we want multiple clients to be on board sharing the default some policies would probably need to be established on what is included.

This is fixed in the [hexchat branch](https://github.com/xchataqua/xchataqua/tree/hexchat).

@kuoirad You misunderstand, that branch is Azure with the core of HexChat which is updated to solve this problem.

This was fixed in HexChat though a ton of unrelated work has gone into the servlist so it might be harder to port over.

This would be great as an answer to the never ending question "Where can I download Gtk on Windows?" new devs have too.

I Imagine outside of `ffmpeg` most of the libs are not terribly large? `adwaita-icon-theme` is probably the bulk of the size.
