If you want to intercept some of the input I guess you could try not calling the default window procedure when you receive the WM_INPUT you want to intercept.

When something is not working as it should disabling content control is the first thing to try. It's pretty intrusive and a lot could go wrong.

I'm not sure exactly what's needed to support netstandard but I'm guessing Windows Forms is not part of it. I'm planning to remove dependency on Windows Forms at some point...
