Seems like upgrading to 2022.7.X has resolved the issue for me (or rebooting several times).

Seems like it's still occurring, specifically involving touch.

Have you tried using the [list ports](https://pyserial.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tools.html) tool? Otherwise, might need to use something like libusb

Glad to see someone created an issue for this - it would be excellent if secrets were allowed within the editor since Home Assistant is very focused on the UI/UX...

I'm not sure there would be much appetite for reworking how automations work, but this issue still persists - would it be possible to have it generate a descriptive error...
