Hey @vx8 Sorry you're having problems. Personally on my M1 I had troubles as well, and for me it always used an old version even though it said it upgraded....
@vx8 can you try upgrading again with v 1.0 of Xcodes. it should hopefully be fixed - lots of conversation in https://github.com/RobotsAndPencils/xcodes/issues/148

This should be fixed now with v1.8 that doesn't require any Apple accounts to download Xcode
Thanks for the bug @alejandroivan. It actually does keep you a session after you've quit the app, however it's not showing your Apple ID properly in the settings screen.
Closing this as we no longer require apple accounts (even though the login is still there). It will most likely be removed in a future version at some point.
Hey everybody - I'll totally do what I can to help out with this transition. Xcodes would not be here without the code and work from xcode-install before it.

The `loginIfNeeded()` is needed for Apple data source to get the Xcode download list. It is not required (if using the downloadADCAuth) for downloading the final xip of Xcode. So...
