What does correctly mean here? If its responding, even with a 401, its working, if its not responding, it's not working.

Why does this matter? We don't sync directory mtimes, not sure we should for symlinks? I can't see a scenario where it would matter?

I guess you can enable fs debug logs and see whats happening. Are you running as a user with special capabilities or as root? Feels like the chown calls are...

What would that do? Produce a file with the config? Why not just copy the existing config file that is already there?

Would we remove the foldera? How would we know where they are on the new system? Or worse, accidentally merge two d:\ drives or something.
