Feature request: padding around terminal, or less than full screen-width

On relatively large displays (~25in) with high resolution, text on the edge of the terminal can be hard or inconvenient to read. In those cases, putting the terminal in the center of the screen would help neck strain and readability (a la gnome looking glass - Alt-F2 "lg", both centered and has a small padding)
