Volume stuck at 0

All seems to be working perfectly, but no sound plays. When I check the volume mixer in Windows I can see that the application is playing sound, but the volume is at 0. If I try to change the volume through the sound mixer, I can get it to play for a second only for it to then jump back down to 0 instantly.
