Not able to show selected posts only in slideshow [moved]

I want to show only certain posts - marked by, for example, a category - in the slideshow, while I show regular newsposts only (all other categories)  in the News posts-category.

I just cannot get this working. I've added many categories, and I've tried making one a sticky post. The next paragraph explains exactly what I cannot do.

My main problem is that I'm not able to select anything in Arras options > Home - the box that says Stickied posts / categories is greyd out. I've attached a picture of this.

I have same problem. Which the solution? I cannot find that into this forum. Thanks
