copy/paste newline issue in WSL/Windows Terminal

when pasting text with newlines in, the new lines are ignored WS2 windows terminal

I hit the same problem, but found it is windows-terminal problem and fixed it this way:

Remove trailing white-space when pasting setting

I also ran into this exact same issue on PopOS, using Tilix. Not sure why or how, but the Tilix preferences had a similar option for stripping whitespace on Paste. I've run this system for years and not had this problem until recently so the option or issue seems to have come from an update. Regardless, not a Micro issue. Adding screenshot and this comment mainly for others who find this thinking it is a Micro issue. Check your terminal options!
