Ordering the sequence of matched items shown in the menu

In our open source EMR there are almost 4000 entries in the tribute collection.

(2000 diagnosis, 1500 meds, 500 others)

When doctor types "depression" almost 100 items match. I want to show the items that have been used with higher frequency.

Can I give a hint to tribute on how to order the matches?
