Cannot close the app from full screen mode on macOS

Describe the bug

Hitting the red button (close window) during full screen mode on macOS does not close the app

To Reproduce

  1. set the app to full screen
  2. close the app with the red button

Expected behavior

The app should close and exit from full screen mode
