Behavior of "Save Settings On Exit"

There seems to be no uniformity in the behavior of "Save Settings On Exit".

First at all, even this option has not be checked, notepad2 re-write SaveSettings=0 on exit everytime.

Some settings will be saved on click, e.g. SingleFileInstance, ReuseWindow.

Some settings will never be saved on exit, e.g. TabsAsSpaces (only menu item "Insert Tabs as Spaces", not in "Tab Settings" window).

The menu "Insert Tabs as Spaces" only effects for current file (currently per-file settings is not retained).

And, how about other two, can them be fixed?

SaveSettings=0, SingleFileInstance=1 and ReuseWindow=1 needs to be saved, otherwise they have no effect on next launch.

Ok, I understand why they must be saved at once. But I think changes below can bring better user experience.

• If SaveSettings=0 had already exist, does not re-write it once more.

• Change the menu wording from "Insert Tabs as Spaces" to "Insert Tabs as Spaces (current file/window)".
