Roman Numbers Showing Buggy

Open hTp34r opened this issue 2 months ago • 2 comments

When I first typed in Chinese and Roman numbers (e.g. Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ), it will occupy very small spaces and break the monospace even if I used Consolas (with GDI); but when I seperately typed in Roman numbers in the beginning of the row, it showed correctly. But more, if I inserted Chinese before the Roman numbers, those Roman numbers became very short again; while inserting English doesn't matter. Hope that the Roman numbers will always occupy two English letters as if I were using NSimSum font regardless of its position relative to Chinese.

D2D renders better, but still not twice width as English letter (see https://sourceforge.net/p/scintilla/bugs/2070/). Image

I tried using Ubuntu Mono font instead with D2D rendering, which temporarily solved this issue. But I noticed that in some other editors the Roman numbers would always be shown twice width as English when choosing GDI rendering mode, not only when choosing Consolas font.
