Changing maps with 64 clients causes fatal error "Received unexpected snapshot"

I'm not sure if this helps to fix this issue but maybe it's worth noting that ioquake3 also crashes when changing maps with 64 clients. ioquake3 doesn't print any error message, though.

The error in Spearmint seems like a networking issue so might look at it when changing protocol for https://github.com/zturtleman/spearmint/issues/298. Though I don't plan to work on it soon.
