Potential solution for pen tool lag in documents with many elements
The lag that accompanies many elements when using the freehand tool is a well-known problem on both the website and the obsidian plugin, and it seems the consensus is that attempting to fix this issue requires fundamental changes to the way the program actually works. I have been using the deconstruction script as a half fix for this issue but whilst i was researching other solutions, i came across this post on the excalidraw github page. Would this be viable to implement into the obsidian plugin? https://github.com/excalidraw/excalidraw/issues/7341#issue-2010605224
I am out of my depth in this in regards to my code understanding and writing, but it seems like this could be a somewhat simple solution that could have great impacts on many users of the plugin, as many people (including myself) use excalidraw on obsidian for its freedraw capabilities.
Thanks! I have a concept to solve this that I would build on the laser pointer... I just need the time to get to this.
The hard truth is, Excalidraw was designed as a desktop illustration tool. Pen support is an after thought and a bolt-on. I doubt this will ever be a perfect pen illustration tool. I am sorry about that.

I experience some pen lag with this which gets annoying though I tend to have lag in Apple Notes in documents like this so I don't blame excalidraw that much.

Mine is basically like that but with a bunch of screenshots from my math textbook. I find it just gets progressively laggier and laggier the more questions I do.
