Was loading, but no getting the message "Open a document in another pane and click it to get started."

I'm probably doing something wrong, but now only getting this message when opening Excalibrain.

I've tried opening other panes, reloading/quiting/re-opening Obsidian; but nothing seems to have worked.

I have encounter the same problem solution: download the latest datavew plugin in the github page:https://github.com/blacksmithgu/obsidian-dataview/releases/tag/0.5.18 I was in dataview 0.4.6, and have the same problem , here is the debug process i have been through turn off all plugins except excalibrain and excalidraw and the excalibrain is sending "waiting for dataview" message so i open the dataview plugin and it still sending the message Then, I check for update in obsidian but it shows it is the lastest after that, I go to the dataveiw github page and found the lastest beta is 0.5.18 so i downloaded updated the datavew plugin manually and the problem solved

I may need to create a clearer startup message. When you start obsidian, dataview does a full update of indexes. This can take up to a few minutes, depending on the size of the vault and workload load on your processor/memory/disk (e.g. if you are running video rendering in the background then your PC will respond slower). The "waiting for dataview" message indicates that dataview is still busy with the initial indexing. I must wait for the index to complete otherwise my index will be incomplete.
