Can I run it in desktop?

I am on Ubuntu 20.04 Mate Desktop. I built it, when I run it in graphical desktop, it is not visible but I can click arbitrarily on the top right of the screen and it sends clicks. Is it possible to view it on graphical desktop? I use compiz window manager and I enabled framebuffer in the settings.
