Can't switch off Minimap

Installed MiniMap and once enabled cannot be disabled either from menu or with CTRL+. Both on Windows 7 and IMac 5X. Had to install it as unable to edit long lines easily with it present.

Hi. Use CTRL+` hotkey, not CTRL+.

I'm having the same problem. The menu option and hotkey "work" in the sense that the checkmark in the view menu turns on or off, but the minimap remains visible regardless of the state.

OSX: El Capitan 10.11.6
