Japanese kartminer7 crashing

When I go to the streetpass button to start installing kartminer7 (and finish my modding process), when I have to start pressing A, my game/system crashes. Is kartminer7 down at the moment? That's what I've been told but I'm not sure if that's correct. I'm also on old 3ds system.
