I find this really disturbing NOMP no longer supported
I am a NOMP user and there are many others ... why has this been abandoned ??? open source projects always take a while to see donations, why has this been abadoned ???
there have already been donations and bounties met, yet the development not done.

I agree… I wish it would be getting more attention on the rail. Although, for the record, I think its really simple and concise — can be a really great stepping off for any motivated individuals.

What Jacob said. It's usable, drop the pub key donation line and grow ur own. On Oct 25, 2014 12:03 AM, "Jacob Nollette" [email protected] wrote:

drop in https://github.com/CoiniumServ/CoiniumServ then which is actively developed and has an emerging community.
unfortunately CoiniumServ is not up to autoswitching, ....
Not yet but being worked on :)
The project is not active due to a couple reasons. Aside from me just having much less time lately.
A big one is a lack of developers who contribute quality code. The contributed code I've merged in the past has almost always been buggy and almost a step backwards. Most of the bug issues are related to code I've accepted from others.
Second, the project has reached its current architectural limits. Any big new features would push the code base into a spaghetti state because its close to being there already. It needs to be refactored. However, I'd rather start the project from scratch using golang than Node.js. C# would also be another good option if written with scalability in mind. CoiniumServ looks interesting - I'd like to see a benchmark comparing its performance to NOMP.
I compared now CoiniumServ and NOMP in very detail.. i have to say that nomp is much more stable.. but both programms are not really finished yet.. they lack some features.. and still not every coin can be mined.. that is really hard for as an pool operator.. i installed 30+ coins.. just to see that some will not work.. so i have to look at the code etc.. even understanding the actual sowtware is hard.. for me it is spaghetti already... so i come to the conslusion that i have to write my own pool software.. but this will take very long time... so i appreciate the developers and thank for their work. but state-of-the-art mining is not possible ( coin-switching, merged ). so we probably have to go further.. there are some more promising projects on github.. ( https://github.com/simplecrypto/powerpool )
people complaining either donate or start your own code repo -- NOMP is old ass software.
It is so outdated and "spaghetti like" according to it's dev, only new code will solve it's problems.
If you want new software , wait for new software, or https://pexaproject.com/ will be releasing new pool software eventually.
