This is not working. In fact, in one instance a new friend request was sent.

Device: Moto E OS: Android 5.1

Device: Moto G play OS: Android 6.0.1

We need to talk through this in real-time.... not a blocker I would say for the next release, so maybe we push this back a few milestones as well.
