uTox should use https://github.com/sqlcipher/sqlcipher as qTox and TRIfA does to save all data (including messages and group messages)

@life777eternal please be careful with the windows version of qTox: there is an RCE

speed of filetransfers is a known issue with Tox. there are a few workarounds but no final fix.
