Feature Request : TotalRegistry should offer the user to self-elevate at appropriate times

Example, you wish to export

When you go to do it, it says it can't

You have to start over

To perform the self-elevation

I suggest looking at the following software, they each have the ability to self-elevate when saving to an admin only place

Notepad++ (when saving to an admin only folder) Ditto clipboard manager (when pasting to an elevated windows)

Certainly possible for me to automate that. Still, running TotalReg elevated and then selecting to replace RegEdit works. I am adding an item to my backlog.

So far I encounted three cases

trying to edit a value

trying to export a key

and trying to set "replace regedit.exe"

Where it warns instead of prompting if you want to elevate via UAC

I see there is a menu option already for doing elevation and it even selects the key you were already on so that really working well already !
