Note: there are both TCP- and UDP-based versions of memcache. I think that TCP is more commonly used, but the UDP version can be used as a DDoS amplifier.

Note here — we did add a sample UDP probe to zmap (https://github.com/zmap/zmap/pull/503), so that can be used to identify amplifiers.
